Struggles Of Being A Tall Girl

Sometimes being tall and female can be a struggle. For example, people seem to be of the opinion that girls should be short and fragile, mostly due to sexist ideologies. And in addition, sometimes it feels like every single clothing and shoes company is against you. What's a girl to do? Well, find other people who relate! Here are some of the struggles that a lot of tall girls can relate to:

People commenting on your height.
Whether it be just “Wow, you’re taller than I expected!” or “How’s the weather up there?”, there are no shortage of comments when a girl is tall!

Having to stand in the back of group photos.
When people say “let’s take a group picture!”, you automatically flock to the back. It’s become a reflex at this point.

Low ceilings.
As if you needed another reason to feel tall (and possibly hit your head).

High fives with shorter people.
Having to lower your arm/make them reach higher up is always a struggle.

Being the one to reach for the top shelf.
“Hey, I can’t reach this – can you get it for me?”

Always feeling kinda bad about standing in front of people at events.
“Sorry, are you sure you can still see?"

Being asked if you play basketball.
Just because I'm tall doesn't mean I automatically play basketball.

The dress struggle.
It looked so nice on the mannequin, but it's so short on me!

The jeans struggle.
It's so difficult to find jeans/shorts that aren't too short. We're pretty much bringing highwaters back into style.

The shoes struggle.
When your feet are so gigantic that nothing fits them except, like, maybe one rack of shoes. And some stores don't even sell your size.

Seeing how tall girls are portrayed in the media.
How many times have people talked about Taylor's height? Too many, honestly.

Realizing that while heels may be cute, they make you even taller.
And then having to decide whether it's worth it to wear them for prom or not.

NOT. HAVING. ENOUGH. LEGROOM.
Whether it be on airplanes, cars, trains... somehow, these seats are never designed with you in mind.

Awkwardly having people's heads in your chest whenever you hug them.
It's always so awkward. Just why.

But knowing that you're super fabulous anyway.

Tall is beautiful. <3

Sering mimpi bertemu lelaki tua.

Disebabkan post sebelum nie pasal mimpi aq teringat mimpi yang aq pernah alami masa aq kecik lg. Seingat aq masa tuh aq belum pun sekolah lg. Banyak benda yg aq x igt masa aq kecik tp disebabkan benda nie jadi kat aq banyak kali dah. So kadang2 aq akan teringat lg kat mimpi tuh. Aq selalu mimpi tentang seorang lelaki tua yg baik orang tua nie selalu main dengan aq sembang dengan aq sampaikan aq jadi selesa tiap kali jmpa dia. Tapi selang beberapa tahun lepas tu aq stop mimpi pasal tuh. And masa aq dah masuk sekolah dah kalu x silap lah aq mimpi balik orang tua nie. Aq terkejut jumpa dia bila aq tnya kenapa dia dh x mai jmpa aq. Dia ckp yg dia dh x larat dah x macam dulu. Aq pun dah besar. Tapi satu benda yg aq ingat2 lupa dia kata aq yg x jmpa dia. Aq assume yg semakin aq mambesar. Semakin jauh lah dia dari aq. A part of me still miss the dream. Well mimpi tuh bt aq dpt rasa kasih seorang datuk terhadap cucu dia. Dan satu benda lg tiap kali aq mimpi jmpa dia kami akan dudu

Degree oh degree

Pergh tajuk. Dilema. Satu perkataan yg boleh describe aq saat nie. Sma pasai nak sambung degree. Aq memang nak sambung. Mcam mana pun tapi aq degan muet x ambik lg. Satu hal. Aq. Terpikir nak sambung taun depam tapi mak dengan abah pulak macam mana. Kalu ikut aq mana pun boleh. Kja dlu then sambung. Bkan sikit duit nak bt degree. Tp tulah. Abah ego melampau keja pn dah nak pencen still berkeras nak full support aq belajar lg. Masalah sekarang nie macam mana nak bagitau mak. Payah mak tuh jenis keras jugak last2 jd mcm kolej tuh tangkap muat ja. Bukan aq nie x da harapan langsung. Tekanan betul. Kawan aq pulak klau contac aq mesti tnya pasal muet. Hadoiii. Dengan adik aq tengah amik muet skarng. Bleh pulak mak aq kta aq tangguh. Ad aku gtau dia aq nak amik ka?. Jgn push aq sgt bleh? Aq.klau boleh malas nk fikir tp x fikir tkt pulak aq. X nak lah belajar separuh jalan saja. Nak sampai habis. Macam mana nak buat nie. Arghh.
